48 Medals… 21 were Gold!

The Karate & Fitness Place USA had returned home from Chico, CA in the 1st Round Karate Tournament AAU National Qualifier with 29 medals.  I guess that wasn’t good enough especially when the team just returned from the 2nd round AAU qualifier held in Grants Pass Oregon with 48 medals , 21 Total Gold Medals, almost double than the last tournament.  The Karate & Fitness Place USA was honored with the Most Outstanding School Award followed with Chris Wellbrook’s Most Outstanding Competitor Award winning 3 Gold Medals in all his individual events a clean sweep.  All the athletes have qualified themselves to move onto the AAU National Karate Championships to be held in Albany New York.  The Team lead by Sensei Thomas Westernoff instills lots of practice and hard work to be successful.  This Year we are in good hopes of sending Chris Wellbrook off to Rome, Italy with the Jr. AAU / USA Karate Team thanks to all his outstanding efforts.
